Welcome to Itty Bitty Kitty, Bay Ridge, Brooklyn
IBKNY is an all-volunteer organization founded over 8 years ago. We run on the loving support and dedication of many volunteers, including fosters. George Politis is IBKNY's co-founder and is the primary caretaker for the cats and kittens. He's been helping the community cats and kittens of Bay Ridge for many years, through TNR, rescue, and feeding feral colonies. George even made a brief appearance in The Cat Rescuers, the award-winning 2019 documentary about the people who rescue cats from the mean streets of Brooklyn!
IBKNY is an all-volunteer organization. We trap, spay, neuter and release (TNR) feral cats in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. We also rescue friendly cats and kittens, and care for them until they can be adopted into the loving forever homes these beautiful cats and kittens need and deserve.
Until 2020, IBKNY was hosting rescue cats and kittens in a donated space. However, we lost the space during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and are now seeking a new donated space where we can comfortably host cats and kittens that we rescue from the streets.
Thanks to IBKNY's network of incredible, loving fosters, all of the cats in our care who were housed at the donated space are now in loving foster care, but that limits our ability to take on more cats from the streets. We need more fosters, and more adopters!
Are you passionate about kittens and cats? There are many ways you can get involved and support the cats and kittens in our care! Any help would change the lives of these beautiful innocent kitties! Learn how you can support IBKNY here.
Whether you help through food, monetary donations, fostering, volunteering your time, saving cats‘ lives through adoption or just spreading the word about Itty Bitty Kitty NY‘s work on social media and through word-of-mouth . . . we thank you. Without the support of the Bay Ridge community, our work would not be possible. Thank you!
